Does the stock 7.3 powerstroke have a cat?

I had an encouter with a really icy snow bank and lost most of my exhaust. I plan on replacing it with a 5" with a muffler delete pipe, but did not want a cat if I did not have to have one.

It depends. Under your hood there is a emmissions sticker that will either say "catalyst" or "non-catalyst." If you don't want your cat then just don't put one back on. Most people who do any kind of exhaust work usually take it off.
