Talking GT42 Set Up Questions

Talked with dave Diesel Innovations today about doing a GT42 swap into my 96. looked at his pics on his sit but the are for a SD. He told me he has done this on a 94-97 so i know it can be done. but do i need to make my brakets the same as his or something diff. also can i use my up pipes or do i need to find a junk SD and get some parts. (like up pipes, intake spyder) and thing will help out a bunch thanx all

gt42s even on a SD require different uppipes and all new stuff. It is basically like buying that turbo kit from ATS for a SD plus a GT42. I dunno if that make sense lol.

lol you need a new pedistal, an uppipe setup to accept a t3 or t4 flange. Umm new intercooler piping and that about it. But it is alot of fabricating. You can buy the ATS turbo mounting kit. Or the H2E mounting kit.

To my knowledge they should both be able to handle the gt42.

And it wont matter if the kit is built for an OBS or a SD they will bolt up no matter what.
