Correct resistor for IDM mod

A friend is going to help me do the IDM mod. I just want to make sure I use the right resistor. My IDM says 100A, do I use the 75k 1/2 watt 1% resistor like I would on a IDM 100?

All I can find within a 2 hour radius of here is a 75K 2watt 1% metal film. He tells me this would work, it will be a physicaly larger resistor, but will do the same job. Is this true? Will I be safe using this?
