Engine Miss
98 E350 diesel auto. 235,000
Had trouble starting when weather got colder. Plugged van in and problem went away. Left unplugged again and had to crank and crank to get it started. Glow Plugs?????????? Decided to have them changed anyways. Since EVERYTHING is under the valve covers, I decided to do Stage 1 injectors and a TW six position chip. Installed chip with stock injectors and it ran fine. Actually GREAT. I couldn't BELIEVE the difference the chip made. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the glow plugs didn't need replaced I'da left well enough alone. BUT....... Had the glow plugs and the new injectors installed and now after initial startup it has a miss. Actually runs like CRAP. Sounds like it's only running on 6 or 7 cylinders. REALLY noticeable when cold and seems to run better when warmed up but it still has a miss. Could it be a bad injector/injectors. Got them from Pensacola Diesel. I'm up for suggestions. I really DON't want to go under the dash AGAIN. These things are a real PIA on a van to replace
