trans

ok im thinking about an aftermarket trans, but if i got just an e4od from say craigslist would i have to get on that was on a diesel or will any e40d fit

diesel I think........Probably look at jaspers website...see if the same trans is called for between gas and diesel

I'd stick with a name.......Scuffy has a guy that builds TC....might check with him.

I had a friend with 96 f350 dually, replaced just the TC and it has about 10k on it with out any problems. TC are known to go bad in the e4od. Dont see any problem if thats what it is. As long as the pump/seal are still good....
Keep in mind, you spend $$$ for a new TC, and then the trans takes a dump...gonna have to have a rebuild and a new TC....all the metal shavings will eat it up....

yeah idk because i think like an e4od from say a 351 have different bellhousings right
