fuel canister mod?? anyone hear of this?

My friend called me yesterday and said that he heard of a "fuel canister mod" for our (obs) trucks. I asked him for more details and he told me that he did some research somewhere, might have even been on here. I was told that you can remove the fuel filter, and the support rod out of the center, take the fuel heater out, and theres a spring and other parts under there you can remove completely, install the heater, the support rod and the filter back in. By doing this i was told you can increase the volume of fuel to the injectors. Is this true or is someone tryin to blow some smoke up my? if so, would it harm the engine in any way? any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Yes its a powerstrokehelp guy video.
lol I even emailed him asking how to do some of his mods on an obs and he gave me the wrong directions.... I was testing him.
