TW CHIP AND EGT TEMPS

I am getting the bug for some more power out of my 96 f-250. Everybody swears by the TW chips. I am a little concerned about my egt's while towing.
I typically pull 7000 lbs so not super heavy put I pull every time the truck is out on the road. The truck has intake and exhaust other than that it is stock.
So will I be safe as far as temps go or will I need to do something to lower the egts?

X2 with a IC with stage 1's....stock inj's because of our limited CC Inj's EGts are not a problem if you keep the rpm's in the 2000-2500 range.

im gonna say anyone that is getting worried about EGT's should already have gauges installed before they start putting more power too it... make sure you know whats going on with your engine....

I was definatly planning on gauges. Just worried every hill I pull I will have to back out of the throttle.

not necessarily.... just keep an eye on your egt's... your going to have to do this with anyone's chip or tuner.... if it starts becoming a problem you should look into putting an intercooler in there

I have stage 1's and i rarely have to get out of the throttle (on IC) on my tow setting. Tony does a good job getting the EGT's down with that setting

I hit around 1300 on the smoke tune and around 1400 if the ebpv is on but I pull 50,000 pounds on our farm and i never have any trouble and I don't have an IC.

Is your smoke tune useable? I would never drive on that, mine shifts real weird
