6.0 intercooler on 7.3?

Is it possible to set up a 6.0 intercooler on an OBS 7.3?

Just wondering?

What's the going price for a factory used intercooler off 98 and up?

if you're looking for a 6.0 intercooler look for an 03 and newer intercooler. otherwise look for a 99-03 intercooler. I just read on here that the 6.0 intercooler is a bit harder to install on an OBS because of the hood latch....otherwise it's pretty simple to install one in general.....mine had an intercooler already but it took me about 45 from complete tear down to completely bolted back together.....and did a foil delete at the same time.

i believe you need the longer 6.0 intercooler boots to do this.

and hes correct, 6.0 intercooler is from 2003 to 2007

you can install a 99-2003 7.3 intercooler on your truck. basically the same thing. I dont think people really see a big enough difference to go to the bigger to cooler to warrant the price of one.

i just put a late model 6.0 cooler in mine i have not plumed it in yet but i have got it mounted and in i am having trouble finding pipes any body have any suggestions the factory y pipe is 350.00 my price plus 200 bucks for the pipes off ebay anybody have a banks price

I have an 04' 6.0 cooler on my 96'
I got the intercooler with the pipes on ebay for $150
I saved the boots from the setup and proceeded to make my own custom pipes. The factory boots with the IC reduce the outlet side from 3.5" to 3"
It is a tight fit and make shure that it dosent rub. I had to rebuild my hood latch support which runs down to the bottom of the core suport.
I also had to reposition the bottom of the A/C condenser closer to the rad.
