you can do a full exhaust rather than just delete the cat and the muffler... you can also add a hi flow muffler to change the note, wont be louder, just deeper

i know that stacks are cool but for a deeper tone you need size and length for a deep tone you could do as i did and run a single 7" straight pipe all the way back with a turnout and the turnout is really a big part of the tone.

I drive a log truck with a 600 cat and i have tried many pipes to get the right tone i wanted and that is what i have found that I like to hear nice rumbly tone without the harsh snappy crackle.

thats my 2 cents anyway

Make a chamber for the exhaust to resonate in, out of big exhaust pipe or somthing of the likeness. Place it where the cat was. A downpipe will help with sound too. Tuning and timing can change the tone.

My friend has stacks on his 7.3 and has a chamber on it. I gives the sound waves a place to reverberate in. This gives a deeper tone. Think of the sound difference a set of flowmaster mufflers gives a gas motor compared to straight pipes.
