Trans question

i was talking to a guy the other day in a parking lot about our trucks, his a 96 f350 7.3L and mine a 96 f250 7.3L both are 5 speed manuals, but he said he rebuilt his trans and add a kit that got rid of his syncos, I was wonder if anyone has heard of this and if so, who makes it (and yes it was put on for the purpose of not using the clutch to shift)
