NEXT UPGRADE TO DO???

96 F250 7.3L, did the cold air intake, straight exhaust- what next. This is a good truck and would like to take the next step to make it a little better. Dont want to blow it up, just get a little better mileage and power to pull my race trailer. Let me know what you think.

i would def install gauges next.. i know it wont give you any performance upgrade but it will be the next step to purchasing some kind of chip or programmer.... after that i would go with a custom tuned chip like a TW, PHP, or DP.... also if your running an automatic i would do a trans cooler upgrade

I was thinking about doing just that (gauges), i have the trans cooler already, what kind of chip??? Should i get someone local???

depends on where your located... but i wouldnt run anything but a custom tuned chip.... we are going to be running a sale on the custom tuned TW chips this weekend for our Black Friday weekend sale... get a 6 position chip for the price of a 4 position... and our gauges will also be on sale so we could get you a package deal out for both and it would save you some money

I am in central indiana- what kind of costs??? i am interested in the pod, gauges and chip, didnt know what kind of installation involved?? I would assume that the chip plugs into the ECU?? and the guages (boost, oil pres, trans temp) would be something that i probably should have done?? Do the gauges come witht the correct bungs to get the readings?

the gauges are not actually that hard... there are some good write ups online... but most shops charge around 250.00 to install gauges around here... and the chip plugs directly into the PCM...

this is the combo kit but it will be on sale: Tony Wildman Chip/ Gauge Combo

425.00 for the TW chip and the gauges will have the free paint and free shipping

Understood... the savings on the chip alone is great, add on the free paint and free shipping makes it dang near unbeatable
