excessive blow-by

my buddy has a 97 built up 7.3. moley pistons, head work, fuel sys, bored block, girddles, hypermax rods and internals, h2e mod, stage II inj and more..he is expieriancing excessive blow by...... truck seems to run great...made 517 on the dyno but man, so much oil blow by out the breather on valve cover and dip stick tube. I mean alot...He runs lucas oil...... any thoughts

could be cuz his rings are not seated yet. how fresh is the motor
