Any 7.3 IDM will work fine in any year PSD from '94 - '03. The really early ones were 100 volt, then they went to 110 volt, then in '99 they went to 120v.
The advantages for running a later one is minimal at best for you, but if it was modded to 140v then you'll have about as good as you can get.

no not really... being you or know someone who is good at soldering.

I took mine to a local RC/Hobby store which does soldering. Cost me $15 for them to remove the old resistor and solder the new one in! And then like $5 for the resistors... I bought like 10 of them

1994.5, 2.5 lift, 35s on 17x10 MHTs, Intercooled, Stage 3 injectors, Nitrous, 6637, Water/Meth, 3" DP, 4" Magnaflow, IDM, TS Chip, 4.10s, 33s, 4 Pod pillar. 6000k HIDs.

Converted From ZF5 To E4OD w/ PCS TCM-2000 Tuneable Trans Computer, 6.0L Trans cooler and Triple Disc TC.

Up next Install electric fuel, ladder bars

i just installed the modded IDM on my 96. i can definatley feel the increase throttle response, which is good. truck feels like it picks up faster. i paid someone to do mine so i dont kno what resisters to use, i do kno not to use the ones from radio shack. do a search on the idm mod on google, you'll find the answers your looking for.
