BTS info

Can anyone give me as close to exact price for a BTS e4od? Also I am considering going down to Brian's shop for the install. If you have prices for install or shipping I would like to hear either. Money is an issue for me but Im strongly considering doing this. I will most likely call Brian this week, but Im looking for as close to an idea as possible. PM me if needed. Thanks.

When I called and talked to them here are the prices I got

trans costs 4100, if you go to Brian he installs it for free but its 140 for fluids plus tax, so figure 4500 when said and done plus fuel

To ship to you its 4100 plus about 200 shipping each way, so about the same plus install if you dont do it yourself, but the install is pretty easy

Thats the numbers I had in mind. I would try to go down there if he was available to do it early december and hopefully go straight from Beans dyno day to BTS That would be a fun trip down south. I got some decision making to do. If it wasnt for the money I would already have it ordered

Plus putting in a transmission isnt a bad job at all, but the shipping sucks!

Yeah I have done a tranny before. I figured we would be well over half way there at Beans and it would be cool to see the shop and all.

When you say 4500 is that for a rebuild that is done right or is that for a pulling/drag racing type rebuild? The reason I ask is that I'm thinking about getting mine done too but not until late spring. Also I have seen and heard that his schedule is full for several months. Have you guys checked into scheduling?
Does a guys have to spend that amount of money to get the PSD auto tranny done right? I have heard that there is a couple places in Evansville,In that does good work. I have yet to speak with them but I am keeping this tranny rebuild in the back of my mind just in case. For the next six months I am gonna need my truck everyday for a extra job I took on and always thinking of Plan B if needed. Thanks
Randy

Brian said he builds all the transmissions the same, whether its a bone stock 200 rwhp 7.3 or a 2,000+ hp quad turbo 7.3 dragster. Therefore the price is for one done right. You can get other good transmissions elsewhere but BTS is by far the best.

Brian is pretty easy to work with about scheduleing, just call him well in advance.
