Upgrade Questions..

Alrighty boys. Time for me to ask before I start buying parts.

In the next year or so I will be in the market to start upgrading my '97 F250 PSD with the auto tranny behind it.

List of possible upgrades:

TW Chip
Guages = pyro, boost, tranny temp
Turbo back exhaust
SD HPOP or Adrenaline HPOP
Intake
Stage 1's


The question(s) I have reguarding these upgrade is/are; Will putting doing the HPOP upgrade hurt my engine if its done alone? What are some other upgrades I should do to the engine/tranny combo to make them last?

What are your suggestions?

The HPOP wont hurt if you do it now. I herd the adrenaline HPOP is where its at for upgrades. Other than that I'd put a shift kit in there and maybe even upgrade the torque converter. And if you tow a bit an intercooler would never hurt either.

Airflow upgrades are what I would start with. MBRP makes a very nice exhaust kit for the 94-97 trucks and I would go with S&B for the intake. After that, call Tony Wlidman for a chip. If theres anything I can help with, let me know.

One question I had for those who sell or own an MBRP exhaust. Does the kit come long enough for a CC LB and you cut it to fit your needs? I have a Extended cab long bed and dont want to get the wrong kit..

Plans are for guages, intake and exhaust right off the bat..

Thats a good start! Dont forget the Trans is a main factor. A built trans is a huge step and makes it last.

How do you like your BTS? And if you don't mind me asking what did that run you?

I love my BTS its the best thing possible to do to our trucks. The trans is about 4100 thats with the TC and all. Im not sure on the shipping and all that. I actually drove all the way there and met them. Very good people

Was that installed price or did you install yourself?
