looking to get a new 17* hpop for my truck. Found two options. one from diesel specialsts for 559.50 including a new ipr and one from dieselsite adrenaline for 589. i would prefer the adrenaline but do i also need to replace the ipr valve?

You'd have to talk to dieselsite about if you need an IPR with it on the adrenaline. That would be the better option as it's going to flow a bit more oil.

I know that just like Ford, we recommend you change the IPR when changing a pump out. This eliminates alot of grief and troubleshooting from bad o-rings etc. with the old IPR. However, we do send out new o-rings for the IPR with each Adrenaline so that at a minimum you can change those out.

Read the instructions here: https://www.dieselsite.com/pdffiles/...structions.pdf for Bob's recommendations.

Don't forget about the rebuilt IPR that DieselSite sells as well. You can find that here: https://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=952

Might be a good option. Even for a core it might be a good idea.
Since neither party seems to be a sponsor the Dieselsite pump I'm sure is a good pump or they wouldn't sell it. But give Terminator Engineering a call too. Nice to know your options.

One more vote for the Adrenaline. Especially if you tow.

It made a WORLD of difference towing.
