forced air
I am fairly handy with a welder and have some alum stashed back. I did the diy intake and thought I might take this a little further. If I built a box for the filter and ran a tube down to the grill where air would be forced up and into the intake. Is this worth the work? Anyone else done this? Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.

I think banks has a kit like that....seems to work for them, I have never tried it though.

I haven't heard of anybody else doing it. With the OBS trucks, I think it would be a wast of time. Doing the DIY intake opens the truck up to more air than it needs, so I don't think that creating a "ram air" type intake would make any difference.
"However", with the SD trucks, it would probably be a bit more beneficial, but that's pretty much what the Zoodad mod is. (without the ducting) mike |
