Stock E40d with stage 1 injectors
I have a 96 f250 and would like to man up to stage ones, my truck has 55k on it and I am curious as to how long the stock tranny will hold up? I will not be pulling heavy loads on high chip settings or constantly hot rodding........ i think

It all depends... adding any extra fuel will definately shorten the tranny life. What kind of chip do you have?

I am getting some tires oh joy.... so I will have a TW chip in a month or so. I dont want to go crazy with power as I use my truck to fix garage doors so i drive all over town so i am really wanting fuel economy as well as a little more power and fun.

Stage I's add a good amount of power over stock... in combo with a TW its a whole new truck. The e40d is definately the weak link when adding any kind of power.

Well, we put stage 1s in gm duraturds truck this weekend, its already slipping. Granted i think the guy that rebuilt it didn't know what the hell he was doing, but still.

Yeah.....nothin like addin some power, and roastin the weak link. E4OD is poo. Many, many folks reccomend the BTS built e4od, or Suncoast. (but from what I've gathered, many lean twards BTS more)
