DIY INTAKE

I did the diy intake mod the other day. im not going to bore everyone with the details of how i did it since we all know the basics of it. but I wanted to show it off a bit I love the sound I get out of the turbo now. I cant wait to get my new down pipe and straight pipe everything

Looks like a sweet job.

Don't think I've seen pics of anybody doing the DIY with anything but the 6637 filter (which is huge).

ok so call me dumb(new to the powerstroke world) i know what size and kind of filter to get, but what size pipes did i need to get so i can do this to my 95 7.3?

i did this on my 95 f-350 all i used was a 3" 45 degree pvc street elbow that i spray painted black. the male end fits tight into the filter and the female goes into the tube coming off the stock filter housing

Looks good! I switched to an AMSOIL tapered filter on mine because I sell them and I felt like the big filter was getting squizzed between the battery, fuse box, inner fender and hood. The tapered filter seems to work GREAT! I have a 4" long piece of 4" dia. S.S. exhaust pipe hidden between the hose and the filter.



I got more air to it by doing the HankDaddy mod!

awesome, thanks for the info guys.....and Hank, i see your a cpa member? i go to school with a guy named chuck with one of those stickers on his truck, thats how i heard about this website. He has a white 96 with smokers on it

Yeah Chuck! Great guy. If he can, he'll do just about anything for you. He drilled my exhaust for my EGT gauge. I was afraid I'd screw it up.

Do yourself a favor and make friends with him!
