Power windows and locks?
I have a XL model. I'm toying with the idea of putting in power windows and locks if I keep the truck. Is it an easy conversion if I have a parts truck or will I need to do a lot of wiring?
I know a universal power lock conversion would work well, but I would like to have OE power windows; just not sure it is worth the effort. |

OE power window regulators would be better for fitment and strength. I tried a aftermarket kit in a 90 ranger and it left something to be desired. Once I found a bronco2 at the scrapper, I got the OE regulators and switches, and spliced them into the aftermarket harness. If you got the OE parts from a wrecker, you may still need to build a wiring harness to tie it all together if there is no pre-wiring in the XL cab harness for power accessories
