guage issues

[kw900driver]

im looking at a 97 f-250 psd. the current owner says that the only guages that work are the speedometer and the odometer. the says that the fuse kept on blowing and he took a dumb friends advice and installed a big fuse. in doing that he thinks that there is now a short in the system somewhere. anyone ever deal with something like this? and if so how hard of a fix is it?
