4 screws at the bottom, one screw at top gonna be hidden by the dash, screw in the arm rest, and just pops out from there, you sure it's just not locked?

Its not going to come off with the door shut very well if at all.
Have you tried pushing it closed really hard and jiggly the release?

Ok lets take the other side door panel off. Take a look and see how we are going to get the latch to release.
Maybe it will give you an idea how to manipulate the panel to get it loose as well

Lets just ask the question.
How much is a new foor panel and for the price is it worth diddling arounf or do ya cut it off.
Here is where it gets tough. Where do we cut

thats why I suggest remove other side psnel and get a plan

I did this a long time ago the first week I was at a new dealership.
Yhe shop foreman told me " I have done this 30 years and never seen this happen."
Somehow I got it unlatched it just took patience
We will get

Well I was able to monkey with it enough and get it open. I took the bolt off and held it to the door latch. And the door latch release seems weak. So I am going to replace the door latch. Because even if I put the striker bolt all the way out the door still will not open. But if I take the plastic off the striker bolt the door latch will release.
