broke the fuel tank switch

I tried to take the dash apart but couldnt get the headlight pull switch to come off is there some special trick or is destined to break too.

According to the ford manual, when you pull the switch out, there is a long gap, put a screw driver in there and push down on the tang while you pull the knob out. Of course it tells you to disco the neg first.

use a small flat head, use it to lift the small clip in there and it will come rite off

no problem, I ripped a dash out in the JY before I realized there are screws behind the "trim strips" as well, they are 8mm iirc, don't break your dash too lol

OK thats what I thought I tried to remove that piece with a screwdriver and it started to break. Now I know I should order a new knob. Thanks for the help
