Lightning seats...and gauges

Looking at buying a set of 1st gen lightning seats, but wondering if I can keep the bench seat if I just put the buckets on the bench frames? I'm not a fan of the buckets with the center console. Anyone done this?

Also how hard is it to calibrate the speedo if I buy a 1st gen lightning gauge cluster?

What seat do you have now? A bench?

If so, you need to unbolt the bench(4 bolts) and remove it from the truck.

THEN, you can put the lightning buckets in. They get bolted to a seat pan, then the whole pan gets bolted into the truck.

The lightning cluster will only work if you go by the correct year
92-93
94-95
96-97(if you have a 96 or 97 you are SOL, lightnings were only made till 95)

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seats. PM me !!!!!!!

I have a 95, someone was saying since the speedo on the lightning gauges reads to 100 you had to recalibrate it... But your saying if the cluster is from a 95 truck it will just plug in and be correct?

And what I mean by the seats... I have a bench now. Was wondering if I can modify it to have the lightning buckets but keep the center part of the bench in the truck.

Um, if the "center part" is a separate part, it's not a bench.

You have a 40/20/40 seat. A bench seat is one piece. So the challenge is, do the Lightning buckets mount on the bracket/pan for the 40/20/40?

Send a message via AIM to Maverick1701
Somewhere around here (either here or FTE) someone built/made an OBS CC lightning with seats and everything. I tried to search but couldn't find it.

YES, you can use the lightning seats(40-20-40) in place of your 40-20-40 seats, but will look like complete crap unless you get your 20 covered in the same charcoal material that the lightning seats are

And if the cluster came from a 95 and you have a 95 then the speedometer will be fine. The tach is another story
