Hard to install doors with power windows and locks?
Soo my buddy has an f150 with all the power options. I was thinking that I'd just take the doors off of my f250 and put these ones on. And then wire up the power stuff. How hard would that be? I'm assuming it wouldn't be to bad. Just have to hook them up to some power and then the driver door to the passenger door. Am I correct ?

Pretty easy once you pull the dash and put the power door harness in

I would suggest investing in the Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM) for your truck if you plan on keeping the truck and doing the swap. Cheers!

Find an obs/psd in the yard and pull the whole dash harness and swap that in to, then it's all plug and play, or just wire them like your original plan

on my truck the 8 pins are not populated to power the doors but I wouldnt call that a dash harness as it is on the cab when the dash is out on the saw horses.I would love to know what that harness is called, or the pin out of the connector, or if that harness can be easily swapped... |

its called a dash harness because its behind your dash, I have on setting on the floor in my garage is why I know

it sounds like you are describing the door harness.

door harness is in the door, im sorry to have been convoluted previously, you can infact add only the door part to your XL harness, but you still have to pull a dash from an obs psd, and then remove the exact wires you need with the harness on them

Also you have to confirm if the doors were from a truck with keyless entry or not. If the donor had keyless entry, the door locks won't function with the XL dash harness (as in the main dashboard harness.)

The power door harness is NOT part of the dash harness. It a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT HARNESS from the dash harness, but it does run behind the dash(right under the windshield to be exact), and there is NO PLUG at the drivers door, it is ONE PIECE from inside the door and all the way across the cab. The is a plug at the passenger door though
