I know you can reprogram it but you can only do it 3 times I think my father had to do it on a 97 he had.

You can reprogram the speedometer up to 6 times. What size tires are on it and is it 2wd or 4x4? Cheers!

When you reprogram the speedometer you have to change the code used to calculate the correct speed. Search for a bit and you will find the procedure or reference to it. Cheers!

see, I have something similar to that issue on my truck, only difference is that mines 2wd 3.55 and yesterday out of nowhere, it started churning out 2500 rpms to do 70mph (on the guage) so on the trip back home, I turned on the gps and its showing 78mph.... hmmmm maybe that's why im hauling a** past people and only getting 16mpg highway as opposed to my 22mpg when I first got the truck...
