Door lock issue

Hey guys so the drivers side door lock cannot be locked or unlocked from the outside. I have power locks. I can put the key in the door but it will not budge either direction. I would like to know what caused this and how to fix it?

Key cylinder is FUBAR. New cylinder, get it re-pinned to your existing key, problem solved.
