recover or conversion ?

I have a straight vinyl bench seat in my truck and the cover is toast
I have priced out recovering both front and rear in leather at about 900.00 for both

tempted to just replace with newer ones with heat

the question i have for you guys is has anyone put a 08 and up buckets with console in a manual 5 speed truck?

Im just wondering if the console will get in the way with the large throw these 5 speeds have

no manual but the 08 console I put in my 06 sat pretty far forward and low for my liking

so I made some adapter blocks to move it back and up

I wonder if the console was available 08 OEM with a manual ?

post 4 states no console in a manual 08

Manual transmission still available? - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com

seems legit due to the height of a console

if you install an 08 console in an OBS it will not get in the way of the 5-spd. There is a thread on FTE or it might be here where a guy did just that. It was a CLOSE CLOSE fit but it did not interfere. Now keep in mind, IIRC he installed it with the OBS 40/20/40 and NOT S/D seats.

If you want to spend the money on 08 seats, just look in the classifieds and people sell full seat sets, I have 02 in mine but I have an auto as well

Thanks for the replys guys

I am for sure doing a full front and rear seat install off an 08 to 10 if i do it

I think i will just bite the bullet and try and find a bucket console set ... a big but trying to find them though

I think i can modify the mounting point on the centre console if need be

does anyone know what colours were available other than the KR and HD?

I have the grey interior in mine

The other question i have is how did you guys go about getting the heated seats to work since they are dash mounted controls verses the seat itself

Add a switch in the wiring where it would normally go into the dash, you can remote mount the switch anywhere you like then
