Overhead Console

I have seen a quite a few post that people are taking bronco overhead consoles and mounting them in their trucks. How is this done? Is the mounting points in the roof of our trucks? I like the idea, but dont know whats involved.

I've done it. I used some instructions from a thread in the Full Size Bronco forums. I'll post a link to the thread, but this site usually strips out the the name of the forum (so you'll need to put that part in to find the thread. You have to cut a hole in the headliner and contour the consol bezel some to get a good fit. I've got some pics in my gallery on another forum (they may not strip out that forum name). Here's the threads:

Overhead console from FSB forum: Explorer Overhead Console Install - FSB Forums

My Gallery pics of console (there's more so you'll have to look around the gallery): TheDieselStop.Com Photo Hosting - Explorer Overhead Console

Cheers!

i just used one from an explorer, turned out decent enough, and i like know my cardinal direction, havent run enough wire for my outside temp sensor tho, so it currently tells me the temp of my glove box lmao

Minimalist OHC

I took a slightly different approach, may not be for everyone but it works for me and I didn't have to cut the headliner.

I still used the OHC & Temp sensor from an explorer but decided that since the lights in the console do not line up properly for the F350 and I wasn't going to use them any way I didn't need the whole enclosure.

It's held to the headliner via 2 T-pins. One day I may get around to building an enclosure or incorporating it into an overhead shelf.

Just another option for the OHC.

I actually think that's kind of cool. It looks like an alien pod.
