Speaker Size
Just curious if anyone knows what size speakers are in the front doors of a 96 F250, without me having to tear the doors apart to find out. Thanks.

Factory size is 5 1/4", I think, But 6 1/2" will fit.

OK thanks a lot.

Not all 6.5" speakers will fit. Look for "slim" or shallow mount 6.5's. There is actually plenty of depth in the door, but the shallow mount ones require a smaller hole to mount in.
FWIW, I just put in Polk DB651s in the front doors. Fit perfect and sound phenominal. |

Constable did you have to do anything else or all you had to buy was the speakers? What size are the ones behind the drivers head? and any recommendations on what to use on those? They look like plain 6x9s

What size speakers are the rears in a regular cab?

The rears in a regular cab (or any other cab for that matter) are 6x8's. Some 6x9's fit, as well as some 5x7's. Check Crutchfield's fitment guide for speakers that work.
I use Rockford P1683c 6x8's. |
