96 f250 FL interior door panel
Two days ago came into possession of a 96 F250 Crew 4x4 7.3L. I love it but now it needs some lovin'. The biggest issue I have is the interior driver side from door panel. It is barely hanging on and the power locks/windows plastic assembly is obliterated. The buttons all work but the electronics just sit in there. I have to reach down in the hole and pull them out to use them.
Does anyone know of any reputable places online for parts such as door panels, power lock/windows assemblies, etc. I have checked Ebay, JCWhitney, but I am new to the whole older model truck part hunting thing. I'll even go junkyard diving if need be, but figured I'd ask the experiences ones first. Thanks! |

Interior parts for these that are better than what you already have are real tough to find. Plastic!!!! I rebuilt mine with alot of epoxy and fiberglass patching, all done on the inside of the panels and it worked real well for getting them back together and strong. Sounds like your window and mirror controls mount is your crux...just epoxy in a small ledge where the original was where the screw fastened..there's only one at the top of the console, and then glass over the repair, drill for the screw and it's like new. I found new weatherstripping through my dealer who just happened to have some in stock.

glad someone already started this thread!!!
so i think im going to jump in with a few questions if the op doesnt mind? my driver side dp is in great shape on the outside but is flopy like a noddle. im scared to take it apart as im sure it will be bad. i have never had it apart and i am curious as to what i will find. so does anyone have pics of what is behind the panel? how does this thing stay attached to the door? my main problem is the power window pod area is so loose i could rip it off. how does that thing attach on the inside? thanks B. |

found a couple of cheesy diagrams online but i think i get it. just dont want to bust any clips as they appear to be fragile. hears a question, really all i need to do is redo the switch cluster area where it pops out, has anyone made a new piece to replace that popped out area of the driver side door panel where the switches are located? any thoughts?

It is easy to remove. A few screws and some panel clips and the whole thing comes off.

Your probly gonna want to build a L brackert for the switch...the screw holes are broken right?? the DOor panel comes off with 6 screws.
then you have to undo the WIndow seal trim. Disconnect the Door panel light. And then wiggle it off the handle. Easy to do. Just be careful not to break a bunch of stuff. And to the OP, check junk yards |

well, my problem is the plastic tabs that hold the clips that you you screw into to hold the driver side switch cluster are broken.
