No filter what happens is hair and dirt gets stuck on one side of the Evap and doesn't allow air to pass by causing the blower motor to work ac pressures low and poor cooling also check your fan switch as well.

Is it not getting cold as it should or is it not blowing as hard as it should? If its not getting cold it could be like previous said. If its just not blowing hard it could be a clogged screen, usually located under the hood under a piece of plastic some where close to the wind shield. Thats where the fan gets its air unless you put in on recycle and then it gets it from under the dash. They are pretty good at hiding that screen. Ever have an old car that gets a leaf in the fan? Thats how it gets there. Hope this helps a little.

ill check the screen its blowing ice cold air just not blowing it as hard as i think it should

maybe ur blower motor is bad ...
