Elec. Brake Controler underdash wiring

The PO of my truck butchered up the wiring for the brake controller, and I am wanting to fix it. Does the part of the harness that the controller would plug into, unplug up under the dash somewhere? Or is it part of the main under dash harness?

If there is a plug, it should be below the heater control, right above the 4x4 lever. Chances are they cut the connector off and just spliced the wires from the brake control onto them.

I have that plug, but the po spliced the wire for the controller right above the plug. I want to replace that section of wiring. I'm hoping that there is another plug on the other end of that wiring.

I believe its an integral part of the harness but I'm not 100% sure. Did they use line taps or did they cut and splice?

I would just get rid of the line taps and tape up the wires.

I agree. That is part of the under dash harness. There is no other splice.
