Angry Key stuck in Ignition

I have a 2000 F250 Extcab 7.3.
My key is stuck and I can't turn the ignition switch to the locked position.
And I can't remove the key. I can turn it to the start position and start the truck
Thanks

Rob

try this....there is a hole all the way through the trim piece. take a small....like 1/8 inch roughly....piece of metal, like a very small phillips screwdriver....and stick it in that hole and push with the key in run....try pulling the lock cylender out, lubing it up with some spray lithium, and try agian. if that doesnt help, pull the ignition switch off the column...and see what the lock rod that enguages with the switch is doing when you turn the key.....let me know the results and we will go from there......Marc

I replaced the tumbler on the column with an aftermarket one from NAPA for about $25. Just place a small phillips screwdriver in hole on lower column and turn ignition. I would replace the whole thing after removing. I own a '95 Ford F350 4X4 7.3 diesel.
