In the market for a PSD

Well soon as I sell my old chevy. I'm gonna find me a PSD. I've been doing some reading on here and I did a few years ago when I looked into buying one. I thought 94-95 were ok and 96-97s were better, am I imagining things? Also i've always liked having a manual and they seem to be harder to find. I Test drove a 97 F350 CC LB 4wd auto the other day and i loved it. It was just a bit out of my range since it only had 102k miles. Between 94-97 is there a more prefered year? I hope to find another F350 CC LB and what is a good mileage range, I mean how much life does a 180k truck have left on it?

Thanks
