Airbag??
I have a 97' F350 Powerstroke (actual manufacture was 6 of 96' according to the door)... Anywho I was taking apart the steering wheel to replace the blinker switch and noticed that there is no airbag!.... I have a airbag light in the dash but I never see it come on when I start the truck...
I was just curious if this year came with an OPTIONAL ARIBAG or maybe it has been in a WRECK ?? If it's been wrecked then carfacts can give me there buy back guarentee!Thank guys! |

as far as I know, airbags werent availible in the F250 and up trucks until the 99+ super duty's were introduced. Reason being that vehicles over 8600 gvwr are not subject to the light duty vehicle laws and regulations. (ie, fuel economy ratings and airbag requirements).
the light might be there because the dash was shared with the 96 and earier F150's, which did have airbags. Someone correct me if Im wrong tho... ![]() ben |
