Indeed the choices can be dizzying. I think many of vendors that show up on this forum are good (DieselSite, Stealth Auto, Riff Raff, etc.). I would personally contact Cary at CT Performance and get his opinion. I don't know if he sells clutch components. If he does, they'll be good components. If he doesn't, he'll be able to point you in the right direction.

You get what you pay for. I personally have luk in both trucks and when I decide it's time to play they get severely abused. Never had an issue

My clutch is coming tomorrow and I asked my regular mechanic for a quote and he told me $600, it sounded steep, i sure wish i had a lift, jacks and a healthy back / spine and I would do it my damm self but that aint happening so i am shopping around calling everyone trying to find someone more reasonable. I have been told it is a 3-4 hr job so at $100 hr that would be $300 - $400 and that seems like high but more like it, I am not a cheap-skate just hard working construction sup't that doesn't make a mint. This sucks eggs I aint paying $600 for a clutch install.

Flywheel conversion

I was purchasing my new LUK clutch FW conversion kit and it appears that once you swap out the Dual mass FW with the solid single FW you can purchase more performance clutches when you up torq and hp and just keep the FW with getting it resurfaced if needed. Has anyone any info on the LUK solid FW and upgrading clutches after time, do the flywheels last and can they handle more torq / hp without buying a different type? TY

Between my brother and I we have been running luk for 10 years. He has a banks chip and I've used edge for tunes in the past all while sled pulling and normal working. I've had the flywheels resurfaced a couple if times they seem to hold up good.
