beans diesel fuel system relay/wiring harness issue
I put the beans diesel fuel system into my truck this past winter and I had it up and running great for the past 6 months or so. Lately I've been having issues with low fuel pressure so I when I was checking out the pump I noticed there was only 12.44 volts going to the pump after I drove the truck for a bit.
I checked at the relay and there was 13.6 volts at the small red wire, so a 1.2 volt drop in the wire when it was warm and I noticed the relay was hot. I de-pinned the connector at the relay for the fuel pump and observed corrosion at the spade connector where it was crimped onto the wire and the wire coating has been melting.
I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the wiring for the price of the kit. The wiring is supposed to go under the hood, it would probably be better to have a waterproof relay/pigtail and bigger wiring back to the pump.
So, if you're having issues you might want to take a look there cause it only took 6 months for the fuel system to start having wiring issues.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
