cali emissions powerstroke injectors

i have a 97 F-250 hd i purchesed baby swappers stage one inj. are they single shot or split shot? and can i run those in my truck with out the chip since the chip wasent programed for cali emissions. my engine just took a dump. have a new long block. I ran thoses inj. in it since last september. would that have any thing to do with having a piston quit working? and where can i find another pcm.
Please help. dont whant to ruin another long block

You may talk to some of the tuners as they may able to program a chip for single shots on your PCM (DPC-312 if yours is an automatic trans). If you actually wanted to run a 49-state PCM, you would need to re-pin the PCM connector. Read this helpful thread from member BigFuel for some good info: Going from a '97 Cali MME2 to a '96 Federal NAW4
Note that your current PCM is very hard to find, so you may be able to get a good amount for it (don't use it as a core!). Cheers!

What do you mean by "piston quit working" as in it seized up?

yes it seized up. been getting my long block put back together is there something i need to do to the timing before i get to far. I don't have anyone to help guide me so i thought i'd ask on here.

hey patric my ford is F-250 converted to F-350 4x4 auto crew cab short box. I notice that he did that with a two wheel drive will it work on a 4x4?
