Spare Part to have in glovebox ???

Someone metioned that I should get a certain part and keep in my glovebox for these trucks which can and does fail often that can be bought about $60, I think he said like CAM Position switch or something like that anyone know what I am refering to? thanks

Install the cps listed in your other thread and put the one you pull in your glovebox with a 10mm wrench.

I also keep an old but good spare belt in the truck.

CPS (Cam Position Sensor), serpentine belt, 10mm socket with extension (for the CPS), 15mm socket with breaker bar (for the serpentine belt), and maybe some spare fuel filters. That should do it for common "oh ****" side of road situations.

I keep a cps, idm, belt, and a 10mm gear wrench in my obs, in my sd I have a diesel fuel container

I apreciate your info / help all those items sound like what i will be getting. i ordered a CPS yesterday & what does sd stand for where you keep your diesel fuel can? I must be dumb as u know what but can not figure it out. Thanks

Sd means superduty. He keeps a 5 gal can in the back. Ask him why.
