Transmission question

I need to change my trans fluid and filter.
Is changing the fluid that drains out and filter enough, or should I have it flushed and if I have it flushed should I change the filter before or after flushing?

drop the pan, change the filter, and then take the inspection cover off of the bottom of the bell housing to expose the torque converter. roll the torqu converter (using a large screwdriver on the flex plate) to roll the engine over till you see the 11mm(7/16) drain plug on the torque converterl once that plug is at it lowest possible point, take it out and let it drain....they take a while sometiems (10-30 ,mins). you will need to put about 13 quarts back in before starting it, then fire it up and put it in drive and reverse untill they both engage, then do it a couple more times. put her back in park, and check your fluid.....it is approx 15 quarts total you will change........so you will probably need to add another quart or two, but this way you dont overfill it.
