At what temp does the tstat open?

Assuming that the thermostate only opens when it reaches a certain temp. Also assuming its the stock tstat. I dont know a whole lot about them...

I've been wondering the same thing, because on my scan gauge it shows it opens at 240. then drops I even put a new one in to see if it changed

I seriously doubt 240. Most are 180-210.

If you are wondering for your 95 and it has the correct thermostat then it is a 205° the 96-02 had a 190°.

You should not interchange them they are physically different in length.

94.5-95 are short stem 205* 96-03 are long stem 195*. And yes I see my 203* open at 230* and then drop to 205*.

great, thanks for the info! i was wondering as im trying to heat my wvo and was curious as to the temp. will the tstat close again if the temp drops?
