yeah, i've been good...just extremely busy with trying to finish up school and trying to find a job. i know everyone says the "real world" sucks, but i'm so ready to be out of here.

i know what you mean. now that i'm back in the mustang, i've been putting together a list of goodies for it. i'm lowering it over the christmas break and headers and cams are in store next year.

i'm dying to get back into a truck again, so i'm shooting to get one about a year-ish after i graduate. i had always planned on getting another 6.4, but with all of this EPA crap that came up recently i'm considering a 5.9

Anybody have a line on an alternate method on pulling the Dana 50 spindles WITHOUT the special $64 tool?

That's what I use. And always have. You might be able to use an air hammer to get between the two.

thanks, there's two jobs right now that i think i have a decent shot at. the one i want is with a big john deere dealership back home. i'm interested to see how the EPA stuff turns out. but if they keep cracking down, i'm going back to a truck that didn't have a DPF....and that isn't a 6.0

Just buy it..... spent 2 days trying to get one off with a hammer, air hammer, penetrating oil, heat...ext..... took me a few hits with the special tool. Its worth every penny.
