convert manual pump to electric?

I've got a 97 PSD, and have just replaced the manual fuel pump again, it only lasted 3 months. They have all been carter pumps.

Is there a more reliable pump than carter?

Has anyone converted 97 or later from the manual operated fuel pump to electric pump? I'm tired of changing this pump.

No, I haven't tried a dealer pump. Does anyone know if the dealer pumps, are Carter brand?

Beans, Swamps and DIY SD set up is the way to go. And yes Ford pumps are Carter pumps.
