extended crank
Hi, I'm new to the board and need help. I have a 96 F350 with a 7.3. It would only start when the oil psi gauge on the dash came up. Took about 10-15 seconds of cranking. The ICP would read 0 until the gauge moved then it would fire at 450. The HPOP reservoir level is low after a couple of hours. The engine has a new oil pump pickup, seal, low psi oil pump, and a new HPOP. Once the truck starts it runs fine. When you shut it down it still has an extended crank before it starts. The oil psi gauge on the dash will come up faster now than it did before but still cranks for a while. Any suggestions would be great.
