MOTOR BUILD OBS

ok so i got myself a motor (2001 7.3) 130000miles complete with everything minus intercooler piping. so my question is what are some things i could myself before i put this puppy in to make it even sweeter. i dont have alot of money but i have ome time i am in no rush to put it in cause my motor is fine right now. FYI its going in the 96.

or maybe whats somethings i should take apart and clean?

130,000? no wonder you dont have a lot of money to put into it! ill sell you mine for only 90,000! - just messin

anyway, i would check the glows and maybe get the injectors tested and inspected. other than the cleaning and such, thats all i can think of. maybe a new turbo housing so you spool sooner and faster? (not banks, go less expensive).

I would also check it to see if it has PMR's (Powdered Metal Connecting Rods) and if so and you plan on ever wanting more than 375-400 horses I'd put forged rods in it before installing it

i will look into all that stuff. i just figure with very few mods i will be happy witht the power out of the new motor

the crossover kit is that the mod you do to get more fuel to #7,8 injectors?

yea i want to do inectors for sure its alot of money but i will do it

Well he is putting an 01 motor in so he has a 17* HPOP in that already so it can take the stage 2s, for an OBS you should get a 17* HPOP for stage 2s
