Unhappy PCM Fried?

So the other day i was driving home and my voltage regulator went out and was over charging the system. had the alternator rebuilt and everything was ok. after about a day the truck just died. after digging around i found the keep alive memory fuse to the pcm was shot. replaced the fuse, engine cranked and now it wont move 5 feet before blowing the fuse. it will idle all day long. checked my codes and get 0603 and 0605. pretty sure my computer is fried. its got a chip in it. its supposed to be a bully dog but it dont have any stickers on it so im not sure. do you think the chip is still good? i dont want to put anothere computer and reuse the chip and fry it again. i called ford and they want $450for one. does it have to be the exact computer or can i get one from a junk yard that will work? if i get one from a junk yard can they be reprogrammed? ive heard that computers can be reprogrammed for different configurations but i dont know where. Oh yeah its a 97 F250 PS 4x4 auto.
