5 speed with cb?

Im fixin to put a cobra 29lx into my truck and since my ashtray is busted and I dont smoke I'm gonna put the radio in its place. Has anyone else mounted a radio here and how much clearance is there with a 5 speed in overdrive? Pictures would be appreciated if possible thanks

My CB is mounted directly below the ashtray, almost at the bottom of the dash. It clears the shifter pretty nice.

My ashtray broke and presented the perfect spot for me to mount my large CB.

Not quite 99V!

Does not touch the CB in 5th at all, just got in from a 1200 mile round trip run last night. I took the mounting bracket, elongated the holes a little and used 2 of the screws for the ashtray frame and it fits like a glove.

Well I have an 88 but that's going in my off road explorer so I dont have to try and fit that big bastard in but im installing mine in the hole left by the ashtray. The radio sticks out about an inch past the dash where the front of the tray would have been
