why are you pumping the brake 5 times? i would think the vaccum would be gone by then and might trip the light.

i never messed with or have dlr, but do the lights turn on when the engine is started or after the brake has been released and then is reapplied and in park, the light stays on?

As a trouble-shooting step which proved vacume depleted and
proved the vacume pump is serviceable as warn light went out

Note:the warn lamp stays out during normal driving conditions.

Exactly my finding as proven by the t/s result above.

But here is the problem not answered:

Brake Warn lamp stays off when park brake is set. Should come on in this case
Is the park brake switch an grounding circuit when the park brake is on?

DRL are always on but should be OFF when park brake is ON an should be ON when park brake OFF

Thanks
RZ

has it always been like that since you bought it?
our buick turns the lights on when the brake is released and stays on till the car is off with the brake on.

the p brake switch might be bad or loose connection.

Problem solved:
Wire terminal at park brake switch was loose.
Terminal tightened, installed to switch, DRL's and brake warn lamp work as they should and when they should!
Thanks for the replies
