Glow Plug Relay

Is there any negative effects jumping the relay with a hammer? My relay is shot and i cant quite dish out 80 bux for a relay right now. This morning i just turned the key and jumped the 2 big terminals so i could get the darn thing started. cons?

You can swap the wires on the large terminals. Doing this will cause the voltage to go the other way through the relay. This won't cause any problems. This is just a bandaid, but it will work for a while until you can get a new one. There are many that replaced with a stancor (spelling??). I hope this helps....
